Final Project (Burnout)

Instruction

At first, we distribute each member to start with some research on the topic to get more understanding and clear direction.

Research of burnout

After finishing the research and discussion, we started to list out the visual direction and graphics in order to brainstorm some ideas and art direction that going to apply to the motion graphic video.

Project Script breakdown & distribution

By having the ideas and art direction toward the motion graphic design, we started to illustrate the storyboard and animatic it to have a preview of how the animation looks.

After finishing finalizing how to animation wanted to be, we started to create the graphics and elements for each part of all the members.

Graphics & Elements in Adobe Illustrator

By finish creating all the graphics and elements, I start moving to Adobe After Effect to animate all of the scenes and apply motion to the animation.

Animate in Adobe After Effect

Finished my animation part, and I collected all of the animations with each member to combine it up together. To combine all the animations together, I use a video editing software called 'Jian Ying' to edit the full animation and apply voice-over, background music & subtitle.

Reflection

Experience
The project was a big one, and it was hard to balance it between the individual exercises and projects and the storyboards, animatics, and animations themselves. But it was still interesting and enjoyable to do. It was fun planning out the storyboards, making the animatics, and figuring out ways to substitute the visuals for burnout information. I learned a lot while making the animation, from practicing parenting to trying out new techniques.

Observation
The burnout infographic animation is a powerful visual tool that effectively conveys complex ideas in a simple and engaging format. Using a clean and minimalist vector graphic style, the animation depicts two characters, one before and one after experiencing burnout, to visually demonstrate the physical, emotional, and mental toll that burnout can take on a person. This observation highlights how adding characters can make the animation more relatable and engaging for the audience while focusing on key points and using simple graphics that can create a compelling and informative animation.

Findings
Animation infographics are an effective way to present complex information in a visually engaging and easily understandable format, making them an essential tool for communication in today's data-driven world.
