Design Progress
Adobe Illustrator
Fig. 2 Title & Cover Page Design

I use Adobe Illustrator to draw all the stuff on the cover page and make the title look awesome. When I design the title at the top, I play around with different font sizes and positions to make it really stand out. I also add cool effects like blurs and lines to make the whole thing feel fast and exciting.

Feedback
  • Selected color palette aligns seamlessly with the envisioned future aesthetic, embracing the essence of transhumanism style in our design.
  • While the primary font exudes a sense of solidity and boldness, it may pose a challenge for swift readability, especially in the context of headers and titles within the design. Consideration should be given to optimizing legibility without compromising the desired aesthetic appeal.

I also designed all the other stuff on the page: the section numbers, those trippy spiral lines, and that shiny glass background. Remember that IVN class from last semester? I used all those cool tricks we learned, like the pencil tool and that blend object thing, to get those spirals just right. And to make the pie charts and bar charts pop, I slapped on a 3D effect – they practically jump out at you now! For the glass background, I used some blur and fancy appearance settings to make it look like, well, glass.

Feedback
  • Consider incorporating more motion elements, such as lines, into the Motion font design. This approach will effectively convey a sense of motion and speed, providing a visual representation beyond a simple blur effect.
  • For the 3D shape element, ensure a cohesive connection throughout the entire masthead cover page design. Work towards maintaining continuity within one specific shape, allowing it to seamlessly integrate and unify the overall design for a more cohesive and impactful visual experience.
Content Layout Design

I employed Adobe InDesign to organize the layout and design of the content for the visual publication. Additionally, I utilized the software to refine the typography settings and create a visually appealing design for page numbers.

After completing all visual designs and layout arrangements, the next step involves exporting the project into an online flipbook for a virtual book design. I pick for FlipHTML5 to create the virtual flipbook, incorporating essential book details such as title and description. Additionally, I fine-tuned the layout settings within FlipHTML5, adjusting elements like background color to enhance the overall presentation.
